Our Story
About
Paws & Talk, officially opened in Maryland in 2018, is a small pet care business owned and independently run by a military spouse and her family. We are newly based out of Trenton, South Carolina, and plan to continue staying active in the community by fostering and caring for animals with a variety of needs.

Our Family
Megan has cared for and worked with animals since 2001 and began pet-sitting professionally in 2018. She's a military spouse, mom of a college freshman, pet mom to two cats, and a senior golden retriever. In her early life, before traveling as a military spouse, she was an assistant vet tech. Megan specializes in cat care, special needs, neonatal, and senior care.
You may see two other faces along the way. Megan's husband, Colin who has a gift with fearful dogs, assists with the animals from time to time and works for the USAF. Their daughter, Alanna who is extraordinary with shy cats, is currently attending Clemson and working toward a degree in Biology to work alongside animals as a behavioralist.
Mission
The mission of Paws and Talk is to provide custom and personalized care to pets within the safety of their homes to minimize their stress, create safe spaces, and provide their humans with peace of mind when they're away.

Our Inspirations.
Paws & Talk was inspired by our family's special needs cat and senior dog, who did not react well to boarding and care outside of the home. Their stress prompted us to provide services to other pet owners who face similar issues when traveling or working.
Along the way, we met a dog named Ava, who had medical issues and visible scars, and an owner who fought to help her adopted fur baby overcome every obstacle. Her past trauma created unforeseen behaviors that escalated with her health issues. Ava's life impacted our family and led to a focus on animal behavior through education and continuing our mission.
